The Ojai Valley Dharma Center located in the center of downtown Ojai. It is the center of the urban activity of the Satdharma community. The purpose of the Dharma Center is to provide and environment of support that will allow people to hear, contemplate and practice the buddhist and Shambhala teachings.

Twice a year we offer public courses to introduce people who are interested to the basic teachings of buddhism and the essential practice of meditation. In addition, each year we offer a complete cycle of the introductory Shambhala teachings. To support the practice of the community we offer several open meditation sessions each week. Meditation instructors are available upon request. For more information on the activities at the Center, please e-mail Jackie Saunders. For a schedule of events, click here.

Recently built with the blessing if Shibata Sensei XX, the Gekko Kyudojo provides a place for the practice and study of Kyudo, a traditional form of Zen archery, as it was introduced by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche over twenty years ago. Sam West is the resident teacher, and he holds the Kyudo lineage through Shibata Sensei. "Gekko" means "Moon Tiger" in Japanese.
